Hi friends,
What do you think about doom 3? I think doom 3 does not look so much greater if we compared with quake 4. If you want to make a decent trolling thread, compare them to Quake 4, which looks better than Doom 3.I want to know what others think abut this. _________________ r4i software

Doom 3
The graphics were far superior to any game I seen at the time and its sound environment were amazing leastwise for PC
I played the game on playstation 2 as well and well all I got to say is anyone who played it for a console did not receive the full effect or the full game for that matter.
Took me 3 days to get to a point in the game on pc that took me 30 minits to get to the same point on PS2. It was missing Large parts of the game and had no roaming out on mars surface like you do in PC. Gah I hate console
Anyway doom 3 was fun and best of all it truly had a scare factor if you have a surround sound system or a great pair of headphones. It reminded me of the good old AVP2 days it was the last game before doom 3 that could actually scare me if at all.
Doom 3 was and still is that shit my only complaint was with the new graphics it made 3d humanoids and creatures look like clay.
As for the expansion it was really bad. It had great gameplay and nice additions although with out it you don't get doom 3 patches which are nice fixes not there there entirely needed. There was a downfall though doom3 not only got patched but one of the patches = failure. This failure was the save points. You could no longer save anywhere when you wanted. I think thats ok for some games but Doom 3 likes to save at horrible locations when you have no ammo so when you load you DIE and you can not load a previous save making all your progress entirely useless. Its sadly why I stopped playing the game and never finished it because I dident want to start all over with out the expansion loaded on
